Bressay was quarried extensively for building materials, used all over Shetland, especially in nearby Lerwick. There are a number of sea caves and arches. Project Summary: June 2019, Equinor and its partners confirmed a new timeline for the Rosebank project on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS). A three-year extension for the Rosebank licences (P1026, P1191 and P1272) has been awarded by the UK Oil and Gas Authority and a final investment decision for Rosebank is planned to be taken by May 2022.
